# Frequently asked questions

> Quick answers about the widget, tracking, Cart IDs, draft orders, plans and data.

## General

> [accordion] Who is CB Customer Cart Manager for?
>
> Stores where customers often need help before they buy — high-value or configurable products, B2B and wholesale, phone and showroom sales, or anywhere your team takes orders on a customer's behalf. It gives your team a live view of carts and an easy way for shoppers to ask for help.

> [accordion] Will it slow down my store?
>
> The widget's settings are published to your store and read directly by your theme, and the widget script loads with `defer`, so it doesn't block your pages from rendering.

> [accordion] Does it work with my theme?
>
> It has built-in placement for more than 150 themes, including all of Shopify's free themes, and you can set your own placement for any theme. See [Theme compatibility](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/storefront/theme-compatibility.md).

> [accordion] Which languages does the app support?
>
> The admin interface is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean and Filipino. The storefront widget shows whatever text you write in your [template](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/storefront/widget-templates.md), so you can use any language there.

> [accordion] Can my staff use the app?
>
> Yes. Any staff member with access to the app in Shopify admin can use it.

## Carts & Cart IDs

> [accordion] Is the Cart ID the same as the order number?
>
> No. The Cart ID identifies a shopper's cart before they order. Once they order, the cart's **Conversion Summary** links to the Shopify order.

> [accordion] Do visitors who never add anything to their cart count towards my limit?
>
> No. They appear as **Browsing** sessions on the dashboard, but only carts count towards your monthly tracked-cart limit.

> [accordion] What counts as an abandoned cart?
>
> A cart with no activity for more than 1 hour that hasn't reached a completed checkout or order.

> [accordion] Can I delete a cart?
>
> You can archive it with **Hide Cart**, which removes it from every tab except **Archived**. Carts are deleted automatically when they pass your plan's history retention.

> [accordion] Can I switch between Text IDs and Cart Numbers later?
>
> Yes, any time, in **Settings → General settings → Cart ID Display**. The first time you switch to Cart Numbers, existing carts are numbered too.

## Draft orders

> [accordion] Does editing a draft order change the shopper's cart?
>
> No. Draft orders are separate. The shopper's cart stays exactly as they left it.

> [accordion] How do I send the draft order to the customer?
>
> Open it in Shopify admin (**Go to Draft Order** or **View Draft**) and use Shopify's **Send invoice**. The customer gets a link to pay.

> [accordion] Do draft orders created by an AI assistant count towards my limit?
>
> Yes. Every draft order created through the app counts, whether it was created by your team or through the [MCP integration](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/ai/mcp-integration.md).

## Plans & data

> [accordion] When do monthly limits reset?
>
> On the 1st of every calendar month.

> [accordion] What happens to my settings if I downgrade?
>
> They're kept. Features your new plan doesn't include are switched off on your storefront, and come back if you upgrade again.

> [accordion] Where is my data stored and for how long?
>
> See [Privacy & data](https://codebeans-customer-cart-manager.mintlify.site/help/privacy-and-data.md).
